Conference play rolled along for the Boxer men's soccer team on Sunday afternoon as they hosted George Fox. While the contest was a tight battle with limited shots from each side the Boxers were unable to get the win falling 2-0 to the Bruins.
The contest stayed scoreless with limited shot opportunities by both sides in the first half until the 41st minute of the game when George Fox broke the seal on the scoring which led to a 1-0 lead for the Bruins at the half. The second half was much like the first both teams battled for opportunities but they were limited however the Bruins found another goal in the 76th minute and Pacific was unable to get on the board falling 2-0.
In the loss both teams recorded five shots with both
Nico Allen and
Lucas Muller notching a pair of shot opportunities for the Boxers.
Cole Stritzke anchored the goalkeeper for the Boxers in the contest.
The loss moves the Boxers to 1-4 on the season with three more games looming. Season will continue on Sunday, March 28th when Pacific travels to Linfield for an afternoon Northwest Conference contest.
