The Pacific University softball team swept Willamette University over a four game series with two games being played Saturday and the other two played on Sunday.

In the first game, Pacific's offense propelled them to the 12-3 victory. In the win, Pacific was able to tally 20 hits. Pacific had two pitchers,
Allie Hancock and
Cheyenne Datan, combine to only give up 5 hits and 2 earned runs with Hancock picking up the win. The Boxers offense had three different players,
Nicole Martinez,
Jill Uyeda and
Sydney Sahlfeld, Â go 3-5 at the plate. The Boxers had 8 different players contribute at least 1 RBI in the victory.

The Boxers offense again tallied 20 hits as Pacific claimed a 13-2 victory in the second game. The offensive success was led by
Nicole Martinez who went 5-5 with 3 runs scored and 1 RBI.
Montana Vaught was productive at the plate going 3-5 with 2 RBI's. Pacific's junior pitcher
Rylee Patton picked up the win after pitching 5 innings giving up 4 hits with only 1 earned run.

Game three was a win by the Boxers 12-2 in six innings with Pacific scoring at least 1 run in each inning. Following a lead-off single by
Nicole Martinez to open the game in the top of the 1
st,
Montana Vaught hit a 2-run homerun to left field to open the scoring. Pacific was able to put up 4 total runs in the inning giving them the momentum that would carry them to the win. Pacific was led by
Nicole Martinez who went 3-4 with 2 runs scored.
Allie Hancock picked up the win pitching 5 innings while giving up 4 hits with no earned runs.

The Boxers completed the sweep with an 8-0 victory over the Bearcats.
Rylee Patton picked up the win pitching 6 innings of 2 hit ball with 2 strikeouts. Pacific had 7 different players tally RBI's in the win. The offense was led by
Jill Uyeda who went 3-3 with 2 runs scored. Leading off the top of the 7
th, sophomore outfielder
Michelle Winfield hit a solo homerun to centerfield.
