The Pacific University softball team split a four-game series this weekend against the University of Puget Sound.

Pacific was able to take game one of the series 3-1 on Saturday. The Boxers put up 3 runs in the 4
th inning to break the tie at 0. The 3 runs would be all Pacific needed to claim the victory. With one out in the top of the 4
th Hailey Miller stepped to the plate and hit a solo homerun. Following a
Jill Uyeda single and stolen base,
Sydney Sahlfeld was able to record an RBI double. Later in the inning with 2 outs,
Elizabeth Young was able to double home another run.
Allie Hancock had a solid outing on the rubber, pitching 5 innings while only giving up 3 hits and 1 earned run.

The Loggers responded in game two by shutting out the Boxers 2-0. Pacific had 4 different players each register a hit in the loss. Junior
Rylee Patton was able to pitch 4 2/3 innings giving up 4 hits and 2 earned runs.

Pacific did not wait long to get going in game three of the contest scoring 9 runs in the first 4 innings on the way to a 12-3 win. The Boxers were led offensively by
Nicole Martinez who produced 3 hits on 5 at-bats while driving in 4 runs.
Allie Hancock pitched another 5 innings, giving up 3 hits and 2 earned runs.

Game four went to the Loggers by a score of 7-6 after the Boxer's come-from-behind bid fell just short.
Hailey Miller,
Jill Uyeda and
Haylie Uetake each recorded 2 hits in the game. The Boxers were down 7-3 heading into the 5
th inning which sparked the comeback attempt. The Boxers used a team of 4 different pitchers in the contest.

th and 25
th in Forest Grove against Pacific Lutheran University.
