The Pacific University women's tennis team fell Saturday 7-2 in a match against Linfield University.
Â
Linfield was able to get out to a strong start by taking all three doubles matches going 8-6, 8-0, 8-0. Needing to have strong singles play in order to mount a comeback, the Boxers were led by a win from
Cassidy Binder 6-1, 6-3 to claim the first point.
Sydnie Binder followed that up with a win at number 2 singles going 6-0, 6-1. Despite all very strong efforts from
Jessica Eligio,
Kailei Eustis,
Cara Tamaye and
Gillian Mead, the Boxers fell short from securing any additional points.
Â
The Boxers will take the court again April 24
th in a match against Whitworth University.
