Boxer Men's Basketball Drops Friday Night Contest Versus Linfield

The Pacific University men's basketball team was defeated Friday night against Linfield 111-97.

Pacific was led by guards Brennen McNabb who had 17 points and Ethan Moss and Mario Mora who each had 14. The trio of guards were responsible for 9 of the team's 14 makes from beyond the arc.

Linfield was led by Dempsey Roggenbuck who scored a career high 43 points on 15-21 shooting.

Linfield set the tone in the first minute and a half of the contest by starting with a 10-0 run. Back-to-back layups from Jacob Bolger ended the drought for the Boxers. Linfield was able to put together another scoring run to take what would be their largest lead of the game, going up 16 with 7:20 remaining in the first half. Pacific trailed 58-47 at the end of the first half. The closest Pacific would get in the second half was within 7 on an Ethan Moss 3-pointer with 14:19 left in the game.

The two teams will face one another again on Saturday, April 3rd with a scheduled tip off at 8 p.m. in Forest Grove.
