The Pacific University women's basketball team swept Linfield in two games over the weekend. With the two wins, the Boxers are 5-3 for the season.

Pacific was able to claim the win in game one 70-51 Friday night in McMinnville. The Boxers got off to a strong start, aided by their defense that held Linfield to only 8 points in the 1
st quarter. Pacific was able to push their lead to 36-21 at halftime after scoring 20 points in the 2
nd quarter. For the contest, Pacific only turned the ball over 7 times as compared to the 13 times from the Wildcats.

Offensively, Pacific shot 83% from the free throw line and 42% from behind the arc.
Camy Aguinaldo led the way for the Boxers scoring 15 points while also tallying 6 assists.
Alexis Intong and
Phoebe Trigsted each collected 4 offensive rebounds.
Sydney Gray led in rebounding totals with 9 total, all coming defensively.

Saturday night in a game in Forest Grove, the Boxers used 23 second chance points to win 73-67. Pacific was able to work the ball inside throughout the night leading to 32 points in the paint. A 28-point second quarter put the Boxers on top and they would never relinquish the lead from there.

Pacific was led by
Brilie Kovaloff who had a career high 28 points on 12-19 shooting.
Sydney Gray also finished in double figures with 15 points in 26 minutes. Behind 13 offensive rebounds.
