The Pacific University women's basketball team swept Linfield in two games over the weekend. With the two wins, the Boxers are 5-3 for the season.
 
Pacific was able to claim the win in game one 70-51 Friday night in McMinnville. The Boxers got off to a strong start, aided by their defense that held Linfield to only 8 points in the 1^st quarter. Pacific was able to push their lead to 36-21 at halftime after scoring 20 points in the 2^nd quarter. For the contest, Pacific only turned the ball over 7 times as compared to the 13 times from the Wildcats.
 
Offensively, Pacific shot 83% from the free throw line and 42% from behind the arc. Camy Aguinaldo led the way for the Boxers scoring 15 points while also tallying 6 assists. Alexis Intong and Phoebe Trigsted each collected 4 offensive rebounds. Sydney Gray led in rebounding totals with 9 total, all coming defensively.
 
Saturday night in a game in Forest Grove, the Boxers used 23 second chance points to win 73-67. Pacific was able to work the ball inside throughout the night leading to 32 points in the paint. A 28-point second quarter put the Boxers on top and they would never relinquish the lead from there.
 
Pacific was led by Brilie Kovaloff who had a career high 28 points on 12-19 shooting. Sydney Gray also finished in double figures with 15 points in 26 minutes. Behind 13 offensive rebounds.
 
The Boxers take the floor one final time for the 2021 spring season April 30^th at Eastern Oregon University.
