The Pacific University baseball team defeated York (Pa.) on Friday 4-3 to advance to Round 2 of the NCAA Regional Tournament in Minnesota.

The Boxers were able to score 4 runs on 13 hits in the game while limiting York to 3 runs on 7 hits. Pacific was led on the mound by
Will Clark who pitched 8 innings highlighted by 7 strikeouts on 32 batters faced.
Tyler Quinn and
Brad Altomare each had a diving play on defense to keep runners stranded on base and maintain a Boxer lead.

Offensively, Pacific was led by
Jordan Hara who went 3-5 and
Chase Anderson who went 2-3 with 2 RBI's. Aggressive baserunning helped the Boxers tie the game up in the 6
th inning when
Tanner Johnson scored from second base on a sacrifice fly to the centerfield warning track.

Pacific will play next tomorrow at 6 P.M. CST/ 4 P.M. PST against the University of Texas-Dallas in Round 2 of the winners bracket in regional play.
