Seals Provides Lone Goal in Boxers Win

RICHARDSON, TX- The Boxers defeated Birmingham-Southern College on Saturday evening to open their two-game road trip in the Lone Star state. The Boxers lone goal came from Peyton Seals (Junior/Longview, WA), who found the back of the net with two minutes remaining in the first half.

The Boxers were able to outpace the Panthers offensively for the game by outshooting their opponent 25-6 with 11 of those shots being on goal.

Pacific took 12 shots in the first half before Seals was able to finally put one in the back of the net past the Panthers keeper.

Pacific was able to keep the offensive attack hot in the second half taking 13 shots to the Panthers 2 shots. A strong defensive performance kept the ball away from the Boxers goal in the second half.

Catherine Corlett (Sophomore/Gilbert, AZ) kept a clean sheet in the contest saving the only shot the Panthers were able to fire off on goal.

  • Tessa Bretschieder (Freshman/Eugene, OR) and Lydia King (Senior/Hillsboro, OR) paced the Pacific offense each with six total shots.
  • Emma Gusman (Senior/Aiea, HI), Bretschieder and King each tallied 2 shots on goal.
