FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Pacific capped off its unbeaten weekend with a scoreless draw against Whitworth on Sunday afternoon. It was Senior Day at Hanson Stadium and three seniors -
Conor Barres,
Jericho Lara, and
Nico Allen - were honored prior to kickoff for their tireless contributions to the men's soccer program.
The Boxers kept their third clean sheet of the year after another solid defensive performance. Whitworth held the edge in shots (12-5) but only six shots were placed on target as the Pacific defense kept the visitors from drifting into dangerous areas.

How It Happened
Pacific's first scoring chance came in the 18
th minute when Martin found himself through on goal, but the freshman's shot would sail over the crossbar. Just over 10 minutes later, Martin tried his luck again but was denied by the Whitworth goalkeeper.
The Pirates applied some heavy pressure before halftime but the Boxers' defense stiffened to keep things level going into the break.
Whitworth continued to play on the front foot and nearly found the breakthrough in the 56
th minute, but Sterling Eaglin's shot would clatter off the post.
The Pirates won three consecutive corner kicks in the 72
nd minute, however, the Pacific defense successfully fended off all three set pieces. The two teams were unable to create any clear chances for the remainder of the match and each team would walk away with a point.
