PORTLAND, Ore. – The Pacific University men's basketball team dropped a contest on Saturday to Lewis & Clark 87-76 in overtime. The Boxers were outscored 16-5 in overtime after playing the first two halves fairly even.
Pacific (9-14, 5-9 NWC) shot 29-65 (44.6%) from the floor on the night. The Boxers struggled from long range on the evening shooting 6-24 (25%) from downtown. They lost the offensive rebounding battle 6-2 in the contest.
Lewis & Clark (10-12, 4-10 NWC) shot 31-52 (59.6%) from the field. The Pioneers found success on the offensive end from the free throw line shooting 19-24 (79.2%). Winning the rebounding battle tonight was the Pioneers who pulled down 39 rebounds compared to the 18 from the Boxers.
Trevon Ridley (Freshman/Murrieta, CA) led the Boxers on the offensive end with 21 points only missing four shots shooting 9-13. Ridley also led the team in rebounds corralling seven on the evening.
Jacob Bolger (Junior/Portland, OR) finished the night shooting 8-16 (50%) from the floor. He also finished the game shooting 4-6 from the charity stripe.
