McMINNVILLE, Ore.- Pacific took on No. 10 Linfield on Friday afternoon and the Wildcats came away with two convincing victories.
The Boxers mustered just one hit against Linfield's Taya Kelley in the series opener, who earned her 19
th win of the year.
Michelle Winfield (Junior/Beaverton, OR) had a decent day at the top of the order, going 2-for-5 with a walk over the two contests.
How It Happened
Pacific trailed by just three runs after four innings against the nationally-ranked Wildcats but the Boxers were unable to get anything started offensively.
Linfield took advantage and rallied for five runs over the next two frames to claim game one.
In game two, the Wildcats took a 7-0 lead into the fourth inning, where they rallied for 12 runs to put the game out of reach.
The Boxers scored their lone run of the day when
Rylee Patton (Senior/Eastvale, CA) smacked a double down the left-field to prolong the rally.
Bella Portillo (Senior/San Jose, CA) came to the plate with the bases loaded and worked a walk to score
Annika McNeel (Senior/Beaverton, OR) from third base.

Pacific will host Senior Day tomorrow afternoon, with the first game beginning at 1 p.m. The Boxers will honor six seniors for their hard work and dedication in between games one and two.
