How It Happened

Pacific fell into an early 6-2 deficit in the first set, but quickly rallied to take a 13-10 lead. George Fox would turn things around, however, and rattle off five straight points to regain their advantage. The Boxers were unable to recover and the Bruins rode the momentum to a 25-18 win in set one.

Pacific trailed halfway through the second set but managed to gain a foothold in the match following a 5-0 scoring run punctuated by two Charlotte Powell kills. The Boxers evened things up at 1-1 after their 25-19 set victory.

The third set would prove to be another back-and-forth battle but the visitors produced an 8-1 run to take full control. They would eventually cruise to a 25-18 set win to restore their advantage heading into the fourth set.

Another big run gave the Bruins a 14-8 lead in the fourth set, and George Fox would later clinch the 3-1 win following their 25-17 victory.
