How It Happened

The Boxers defended well and kept the Blues at bay for the first 45 minutes. Despite some well-organized defending, Whitman opened the scoring in the 54th minute through Edwin Romero.

This would prove to be the winning goal as Forest Grove's team couldn't seem to find a foothold in the match.

What It Means

Pacific falls to 0-5-1, still looking for its first win of the season and its first points of conference play. Whitman remains unbeaten in NWC action, improving to 1-0-1 to earn four points out of a possible six.

Up Next

The Boxers hope to recover in time for their next match on Sept. 24 at 2:30 p.m. inside Hanson Stadium, where they will host Willamette.
