FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Pacific Men's Soccer lost Saturday afternoon to the Willamette who carried a 12
th place national ranking into the contest.
The Bearcats controlled the majority of the possession in the contest on the way to the 5-0 victory and three points in the Northwest conference standings.

- Cooper Sheakley was responsible for the lone shot in the contest for Pacific.
- Tyler Wong played all 90 minutes for the Boxer defense.
How It Happened
Willamette put the pressure on the host Boxers right from the opening kick on the offensive end. The Bearcats found the back of the net in the fifth minute which opened a relentless offensive attack. Before the halftime break, the visitors from Salem recorded two more goals pushing the halftime lead to 3-0.
The nationally ranked Bearcats would not slow down in the second half after gaining the majority of the momentum in the opening 45 minutes. Willamette put the game away for good extending their lead to 5-0 following two second half goals.
What It Means
Pacific falls to 0-6-1, still looking for its first win of the season and its first points of conference play. Willamette remains unbeaten in NWC action, improving to 5-0-2 through three games of conference play.
