Boxers edge Linfield in opening dual

MCMINNVILLE -- Pacific went on the road to win its first dual of the 2023-24 season. 

The Boxers defeated Linfield 34-24 Thursday night in McMinnville.

At 125 pounds, Lucas Camacho-Schulz got Pacific off to a fast start, pinning Sayed Amanzad in 39 seconds. An 18-8 major decision by Jacob Enrico at 141, a pin by Lucas Paschia at 149, along with Linfield forfeits at 133 and 157 extended the Boxers advantage to 28-0.

Andrew Zinn added a pin at 174 to give Pacific a 34-6 lead before the Wildcats closed the match on an 18-0 run with three straight pins.

Next, the Boxers will compete in the Spokane Open on Sunday, Nov. 19.
