PORTLAND -- Pacific volleyball is heating up.Â
The Boxers swept Lewis & Clark 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 27-25) Friday night for their second straight victory and third win in the last four matches.
Playing against her former team,
Deborah Chun led Pacific with 13 kills.
Alison Brown had 12 kills, two aces and nine digs.
Anneke Hanson recorded four aces and two blocks.
Emily Cheavtharn finished with 30 assists and eight digs.
The Boxers jumped out to a 13-2 lead in the first game to set the tone for the match. Trailing 22-23 in the second set, Pacific went on a 3-0 run to take a 2-0 lead in the match. Tied 25-25 in the third set, Brown recorded back-to-back kills on Cheavtharn assists to finish off Lewis & Clark and complete the sweep.Â
The Boxers improved to 4-11 in the Northwest Conference and 8-16 overall.Â
Pacific closes the 2023 season on Saturday at home against Puget Sound.Â
