Seeking to extend its winning streak to five matches, Pacific got off to a strong start in its Northwest Conference opener, winning the first set 25-23.
But it was all George Fox from there as the Bruins won three straight sets to defeat the Boxers 3-1 Wednesday night inside the Stoller Center.
After winning the second set 25-19, George Fox raced out to a 19-4 lead in the third game before winning 25-10.
While Pacific played a much closer fourth set, even trying the game at 15-15, the Bruins came out on top, 25-19, to win the match.
George Fox finished with a .331 hitting percentage, 62 kills and 12 aces while the Boxers hit just .152 in the loss.
Kassandra Staton recorded 23 kills and 16 digs to lead the Bruins.
Mara Murphy had nine kills and eight digs for the Boxers.
Danica Nelson added 23 digs.Â
Next up, Pacific plays at Pacific Lutheran on Friday at 7 p.m. The Boxers next home match is Tuesday, Sept 19 against Saint Martin's.Â
