SPOKANE, Wash. -- A penalty kick by
Brodie Buchert sent Pacific into halftime tied with Whitworth.
But the Pirates scored two quick goals in the 67th minute to defeat the Boxers 3-1 on Saturday.
Pacific had to play the entire second half a man down after
Camden Wyatt received a red card in the 33rd minute.
Cole Friesen was a problem for the Boxers, assisting Whitworth's first goal on a pass to Clayton Crockett in the 14th minute. Friesen then scored both of the Pirates goals in the second half.
Outside of the penalty kick, Pacific recorded three shots on goal in the loss from three different players --
Jericho Lara,
Aidan Heflin and
