Pacific freshman goalkeeper
Isabella De La Cruz made a diving save on a penalty kick in the 68th minute to keep the match tied 1-1.
But Puget Sound took advantage of the corner kick to follow. A header by Sienna Kloss off the kick by Kya Scott landed in the bottom left corer of the net and the Loggers left Hanson Stadium Friday night with a 2-1 Northwest Conference victory.
A goal by Scott in the 44th minute gave Puget Sound a 1-0 lead at halftime.
But Pacific freshman
Taite Taniguchi scored the equalizer on a cross from fellow freshman
Julia Fechter in the 61st minute.
The goal was the Boxers first at home this season.
De La Cruz had three saves in the loss. Freshman
Mirella Garcia also had a shot on goal for Pacific.
The Boxers are back at home on Sunday against Pacific Lutheran, where they will try to end a four-game losing streak.
