MCMINNVILLE -- Pacific volleyball's road struggles continued Saturday night with a 3-0 (19-25, 14-25, 22-25) loss at Linfield.
Trying to extend the match, the Boxers led 18-14 in the third set before Linfield scored four straight points to force a tie.
With Pacific holding on to a 21-20 advantage, the Wildcats answered with another 4-0 run to get to match point. A kill by Claire Johnson then finished off the Boxers.
Pacific, who had a hitting percentage of .111 over the three sets, fell to 1-7 this season away from the Stoller Center.
Mara Murphy had nine kills in the loss.
Kayla Craft finished with seven kills, an ace and a block.
Emily Cheavtharn recorded 24 assists and
Claire Stipsits added 12 digs for Pacific, who dropped to 1-5 in the Northwest Conference.
Next, the Boxers return home to host Lewis & Clark on Friday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.
