The Pioneers rallied to win the fourth set and then carried that momentum into the fifth to defeat Pacific 3-2 Friday night inside the Stoller Center. Â

Mara Murphy came off the bench to record an ace and give the Boxers a 24-23 lead in the fourth set, Lewis & Clark scored three straight points to win the set 26-24.

After the Pioneers jump out to a 5-1 lead in the deciding fifth set, Pacific battled back to tie the set at 7-7 on an
Alison Brown ace and then took an 8-7 lead on a kill by
Emma Velchek.Â

However, Lewis & Clark answered with three straight points and the Boxers never led again.Â

Pacific also led 24-21 in the second set before the Pioneers rallied to tie the set at 24-24.

After the Boxers took a 25-24 advantage on a kill by Brown, Lewis & Clark finished the set on a 3-0 run to win 27-25 and even the match.

Velchek finished with 23 kills, 16 digs and two blocks. Brown had 16 kills, 20 digs and two aces.
Kayla Craft added 10 kills and six blocks.

Emily Cheavtharn recorded 52 assists and 23 digs.Â

Pacific fell to 5-11 overall and 1-6 in the Northwest Conference. The Boxers are 0-3 in five-set matches.Â

Next, Pacific travels to Puget Sound (11-4, 4-3) Saturday.Â
