Pacific entered Saturday's Northwest Conference showdown riding high off a three-game winning streak.
But the Boxers could not carry that momentum through homecoming, falling 38-14 to Pacific Lutheran.
Pacific never led in the game as the Lutes returned the opening kickoff 90 yards to take a 6-0 lead. After
Jackson Green nailed a 30-yard field goal to get the Boxers within 6-3 with 9:01 remaining in the first quarter, Pacific Lutheran answered with a 9-play, 80-yard touchdown drive to extend its lead to 13-3 with 4:05 left in the period.
Kalai Pasi got the Boxers into the end zone with a 19-yard touchdown run with 12:12 remaining in the second period. However, the Lutes responded with 21 unanswered points to take control of the game.
Brody Bantolina, who leads all of Division-III in total rushing yards (844) and rushing yards per game (168.8), added an 18-yard touchdown run with 5:07 remaining in the game. Bantolina finished with 123 yards on 20 carries.
Quarterback
Braeden Titus completed 24 of 39 passes for 259 yards.
Josiah Chaffin had 10 receptions for 114 yards.
Pacific's defense allowed 221 rushing yards. The Boxers were outgained by just seven yards, 371-364.
Linebacker
Rylan Ma'ae led the Pacific defense with eight tackles, including three for loss.
