A strike by sophomore Mirella Garcia got Pacific within a goal in the 64th minute.

But Whitworth quickly answered as the Boxers fell 3-1 Saturday afternoon at Hanson Stadium.

The Pirates scored in the 8th and 34th minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. Whitworth then added an insurance goal in the 67th minute.

Pacific, who has lost seven straight matches, dropped to 1-8-1 in the Northwest Conference. The Boxers have scored just two total goals in their last eight games.

Pacific has lost five straight against Whitworth with the last win coming in 2022.
