With one game remaining, Pacific controls its own destiny as the Boxers try to advance to the postseason for the first time since 2000.
Pacific defeated Lewis & Clark 81-71 Friday night inside the Stoller Center to remain in the playoff hunt.
Down five points at halftime, the Boxers quickly tied the game at 36-36 on a
Jake Blazona layup and
Truman Young 3-pointer.Â
Another Young 3-pointer gave Pacific the lead for good, 43-41, with 16:51 remaining in the game. The Boxers outscored Lewis & Clark 50-35 in the second half, shooting 61.23 percent from the field.Â
Lucas Winkler finished with 17 points, six assists, three rebounds and three steals to lead Pacific.
Devin Fortune had 15 points, four rebounds and four steals. Young finished with 14 points and four rebounds.
Lucas Gray had 12 points and three assists off the bench. Blazona added 10 points, three rebounds and three assists.
Next, the Boxers host Linfield Saturday at 6 p.m. in the final game of the regular season. With a win, Pacific advances to next weekend's Northwest Conference tournament.Â
