TACOMA, Wash. -- Pacific defeated Puget Sound 11-3 Sunday to win its third Northwest Conference series of the season.
With the victory, the Boxers improved to 22-13 overall and 10-10 in the NWC.
Pacific scored three runs in the top of the first and two each in the second, third and fourth innings to jump out to a 9-2 lead.
At the plate,
Elijah Gonzales went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, a stolen base and scored three runs.Â
CJ Colyer went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a run and two RBIs.Â
Dawson Tokishi was 1-for-4 with two walks and scored three runs.Â
Governor Aufranc earned the win on the mound, holding Puget Sound to four hits and two runs through five innings. The Pacific sophomore recorded five strikeouts.
Next, the Boxers travel to Linfield Wednesday for a makeup game before closing the regular season at home against Lewis Clark next Friday and Sunday.Â
