Ivette Garcia-Gomez got Pacific within a goal in the 51st minute. But Santa Cruz answered with three straight goals to run away with a 5-1 victory Friday afternoon.
The host Slugs fired 19 shots at Pacific, including 11 on goal. Goalkeepers
Kylie Pascual (4 saves) and
Isabella De La Cruz (2 saves) combined for six saves.Â
Garcia-Gomez's penalty kick was the Boxers only shot of the contest.
Pacific dropped to 0-2-1 with the loss.
