SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- Pacific tied Chapman 2-2 Sunday afternoon in its final non-conference match.
The Boxers never trailed as sophomore
Mirella Garcia scored in the third minute to quickly put Pacific on the scoreboard.
After Chapman tied the game at 1-1 just before halftime, Garcia struck again in the 52nd minute on an assist from sophomore
Ella Mee to give the Boxers a 2-1 lead.
The Panthers, who outshot Pacific 21-5 and had 16 shots on goal, scored the equalizer in the 59th minute.
Juniors
Grace Hammermeister and
Gwendolyn Saing also had shots on goal for the Boxers. Pacific goalkeeper
Isabella De La Cruz recorded 10 saves.
