Devin Fortune knocked down three 3-pointers and had one rim out in the final 1 minute, 48 seconds. But the heater came too late for the Boxers, who fell 76-62 Friday night at home to Lewis & Clark.
Fortune finished with 23 points to lead all scorers to go along with three rebounds and four steals.
Tied 30-30, the Pioneers closed the second half on a 6-0 run and led the rest of the way.Â
Lewis & Clark was sparked by its bench, which finished with 45 points.Â
Pacific shot just 30.9 percent from the field in the loss. The Pioneers shot 50 percent, including 41.2 from 3.
After starting 3-1 in the Northwest Conference, the Boxers have lost four of their last five games.Â
