Boxers take care of business against winless Lewis & Clark

Behind a season-high four goals, the Pacific men's soccer team rolled to a 4-0 Northwest Conference victory over Lewis & Clark Friday night.

Sophomore Carter Zeiset got Pacific started in the 26th minute, finishing a pass from junior Caden Matsumoto to give the Boxers a 1-0 lead. Senior Tyler Scott doubled the lead in the 65th minute off a setup from freshman Cole Affolter.

After junior Nico Lomanto buried a penalty kick in the 66th minute, a Lewis & Clark own goal completed the scoring in the 86th minute.

Pacific dominated from start to finish, outshooting the Pioneers 15–5 and putting 10 shots on goal.

Lewis & Clark played the final 24 minutes a man down after Talen Haywood received a red card.

Freshman goalkeeper Kobi Miyamoto had four saves to record his third shutout of the season.

With the victory, the Boxers improved to 3-6-4 in conference play and 7-0 all-time against Lewis & Clark.

Next: Pacific hosts Puget Sound on Saturday, Nov. 1 for senior day.
