TACOMA, Wash. — The Pacific football team erupted for more than 500 yards of total offense and pulled away in the second half to defeat Puget Sound 52–35 Saturday afternoon.
The Boxers rolled up 315 rushing yards and scored 18 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to earn their second straight Northwest Conference win.
Lucas Voss rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns.
Brody Bantolina added 141 yards and a touchdown.
After a back-and-forth three quarters, Pacific took the lead for good, 40-35, on a 9-yard touchdown run by Voss with 11:31 remaining in the game.
Keaton Smith then connected with
Micah Warren on touchdown passes of 32 and 10 yards to complete the scoring.
Smith completed 17 of 27 pass attempts for 213 yards, four touchdowns and one interception.
Josiah Chaffin reached the end zone twice, scoring first on an 85-yard kickoff return and then a 7-yard reception.
Riley Camarillo had four catches for 82 yards and a touchdown.
Byson Vasquez led the Boxer defense with 14 total tackles.
With the win, Pacific improved to 2-3 in the NWC and 3-5 overall.
