NEWBERG – After a slow start,
Lucas Voss's 2-yard touchdown run got Pacific within a touchdown entering the fourth quarter.

But the Boxers could not get any closer, falling 27-21 at Northwest Conference rival George Fox.

Pacific fell behind 17-0 before quarterback
Keaton Smith connected with
Riley Camarillo for a 32-yard touchdown strike with 57 seconds remaining in the first half.
After the Bruins added a 30-yard field goal to extend their lead to 20-7, Pacific and George Fox exchanged touchdowns.

Brody Bantolina 16-yard run got the Boxers within 27-21 with 6:44 remaining in the game. But Pacific didn't touch the ball again as the Bruins were able to run out the clock, taking two knees to finish a 12-play drive.
Bantolina had 134 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Camarillo had five catches for 62 yards. Smith completed 19 of 25 pass attempts for 143 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
After punting on their first four possessions, the Boxers reached the end zone on three of their final four drives.Â
Byson Vasquez recorded 14 total tackles and forced a fumble to lead Pacific's defense.
Avin Tanioka had 11 tackles.
George Fox had five fumbles. However, the Boxers were unable to recover any of them.Â
