WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Pacific led one of the top teams in the country at the end of the first quarter.
But the Boxers could not go the distance with No. 9 Whitman, falling 80-56.
Pacific went 4-for-5 from the 3-point line in the first period to take a 16-14 lead at Whitman, who entered the game a perfect 13-0 in the Northwest Conference and 21-1 overall.
But the Boxers could not continue the hot outside shooting, making just 2 of 12 attempts the rest of the way.
The Blues, who took the lead for good with 6:02 remaining in the second quarter, led 33-24 at halftime.

Anya Henderson led the Boxers with 11 points. Freshman
Keiki McGee had 10 points in the loss.
