SALEM -- The Pacific men's basketball team snapped a five-game losing streak while closing out the 2024-25 season with a victory Saturday afternoon at Willamette.
Through 10 second-half lead changes, the Boxers squeaked out a 74-73 win to finish 11-14 overall and 6-10 in the Northwest Conference.
Down three points, senior
Lucas Winkler scored in the paint to get the Boxers within one with 3:07 remaining. Senior
Jake Blazona then knocked down the go-ahead jumper with 1:53 to go.
Winkler finished with 18 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds and five steals. Blazona had 17 points, two rebounds and two assists.
Pacific raced out to a 16-2 advantage in the first 4 minutes and led by as many as 20 points in the first half before Willamette rallied to take its first lead of the game, 52-51, with 13:07 remaining.Â
