Pacific women win big at Lewis & Clark

Box Score PORTLAND -- The Pacific women's tennis team defeated host Lewis & Clark 6-1 Sunday afternoon to improve to 7-2 in the Northwest Conference.

After the Boxers won at 1 and 2 to take the doubles point, senior Cassidy Binder remained undefeated by topping Susanna Anand in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2.

Pacific freshman Chloe Takahashi swept Charlotte Makoni 6-2, 6-0 at 2 singles. 

After senior Sofia Mazzola defeated Taylor Stadjuhar 6-4, 6-4 at 4 singles to clinch the match for the Boxers, freshman Tiara Yeung won 6-3, 6-2 at 5 singles.

Pacific sophomore Mia Yamaguchi then came from behind to eke out a 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-4) victory at 6 singles.

The Boxers have won three straight matches against Lewis & Clark.

Next: Pacific travels to Florida to take on Denison University, Centre College and Carleton College March 21-24.
