SALEM, Ore. -- The Pacific football team dominated on both sides of the ball Saturday afternoon, throttling Willamette 42-0.
Recording its first shutout since 2022, the Boxer defense forced five turnovers, all interceptions, including a pick-six by
Rylan Ma'ae to stretch Pacific's lead to 28-0 with 59 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Mackena Barcelona and
Nehemiah Faleulu each finished with six tackles to lead the Boxers.
Avin Tanioka had five tackles and an interception.
The Pacific offense gained 438 total yards.
Sophomore quarterback
Keaton Smith completed 11 of 18 passes for 137 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Makana Kamaka-Brayce and
Emana Tarape also threw touchdown passes in the blowout victory.
Four different receivers caught a touchdown in the win.
Josiah Chaffin had five receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown.
Brody Bantolina led Pacific on the ground, finishing with 95 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.
Pacific finished 2-1 in the Oregon Cup series with wins over Willamette and Lewis & Clark.
