Pacific running back
Brody Bantolina broke free for two touchdowns in the second quarter to give the Pacific football team the lead.
But the Boxers couldn't keep up with visiting Wisconsin-Stevens Point in the second half, falling 36-13 Saturday night in the 2025 home opener.
After Bantolina capped a 10-play, 80-yard drive with a 4-yard touchdown run to give Pacific a 13-7 lead with 4:17 remaining in the second quarter, the Pointers answered with a 7-yard touchdown pass through the air just before halftime. Stevens Point then outscored the Boxers 22-0 in the fourth quarter to run away with the non-conference victory.
Bantolina finished with a season-high 121 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries, which included a 68-yard touchdown run.
Pacific quarterback
Keaton Smith completed 14 of 22 pass attempts for 90 yards.
The Boxer defense allowed 275 rushing yards. The Stevens Point offense converted 9 of 14 third downs and was 1-for-1 on fourth down.
Pacific was just 2-for-9 on third down.
Sophomore
Byson Vasquez recorded nine tackles to lead the Boxer defense.
