After a quiet first half where both sides recorded just one shot on goal,
Caden Matsumoto finally gave the home fans something to cheer about.
The Pacific junior fired a shot over the George Fox goalkeeper's head and into the back of the net.Â

After the Bruins tied the game in the 82nd minute, Pacific senior
Garrett Heuett was issued a red card for shoving George Fox's Merric Marino, who also received a yellow card in the scuffle, along with Pacific goalkeeper
Kobi Miyamoto.
Forced to play a man down, the Boxers held on for a 1-1 tie Sunday against the Northwest Conference rival.
Ten total cards were handed out in the match, including yellows to both head coaches.
Both teams finished with three shots on goal. The Boxers outshot George Fox 9-7.
Next:Â Pacific travels to Whitman on Saturday, Sept. 20. The Boxers play six straight road matches before returning to Hanson Stadium on Oct. 12 against Willamette.
