WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The Pacific volleyball team rallied to take the first set at Whitman.Â
But the Boxers could not hold on to the momentum on the road, falling 3-1 Saturday night in Northwest Conference play.
After falling behind 4-10 in the opening set, Pacific stormed back to tie the Blues 15-15. The Boxers did not take their first lead until 25-24 and then won the set on a Whitman attack error.
After the Blues won the second set 25-15 and the third 25-19, Pacific looked to even the match, racing out to a 12-6 lead in the fourth. The Boxers led 23-21 before Whitman closed the set on a 5-1 run to win the match.Â

Alyssa Cargill recorded her 500th career dig in the loss. Junior
Emma Velchek had 11 kills, two aces and 10 digs. Sophomore
Kayla-Jane Padayao dished out 16 assists.Â
