The Pacific volleyball team captured its first Northwest Conference victory of the 2025 season Friday night, sweeping visiting Lewis & Clark 3-0.Â
The Boxers overcame seven service errors to win the first set. Trailing 12-18, Pacific rallied, outscoring the Pioneers 13-5 to take the opening set 25-23.Â
Pacific carried that momentum into the second set, establishing control early for a 25-21 victory. The Boxers never trailed in the third set, finishing off Lewis & Clark 25-22.Â
Pacific limited itself to just 10 attack errors in the match, finishing with a .215 hitting percentage compared to the Pioneers' .132. Pacific also controlled the net, tallying six blocks to Lewis & Clark's two.
Emma Velchek paced the attack with nine kills on a .280 clip to go along with five digs, while Alyssa Cargill contributed eight digs and a match-high three service aces. Setter Kayla-Jane Padayao distributed 11 assists.Â
