SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Pacific women's soccer team recorded another standout defensive performance Sunday afternoon in a 0-0 tie at Whitworth.
The Boxers have allowed just one total goal in their last three matches, all draws.
Pacific withstood a heavy shot advantage from the Pirates as Whitworth outshot the Boxers 14-5. Pacific goalkeeper
Kylie Pascual made five saves to secure her first shutout of the season.
The Boxers also held firm defensively after going down a player in the 80th minute when
Angelina Koster received her second yellow card.
Pacific generated three shots on goal from
Taite Taniguchi,
Rissalyn Hara and
Cyd Sugiyama.
