The Pacific volleyball team will enter conference play on a winning streak.
The Boxers defeated visiting Pacific Union twice Sunday morning, winning both matches 3-1, in a rare doubleheader.
Match 1
Pacific got off to scintillating start, dominating the opening set of the day 25-7.
After the Pioneers captured the third set 25-20 to avoid a sweep, the Boxers put away Pacific Union 25-16 in the fourth.
Hannah Carlson led Pacific with 11 kills.
Kayla-Jane Padayao recorded 19 assists, 11 digs and four aces.
The Boxers had 11 aces in the first match.
Match 2
Pacific again got off to a strong start, winning the first set 25-16. However, Pacific Union answered with a 25-22 win to even the match.
The Boxers responded by racing out to a 16-7 lead in the third set and held on for a 25-17 victory.
Trailing 24-25 in the fourth set, Pacific closed on a 3-0 run to claim the match and improve to 3-2 on the young season.

Lacy Churchfield had a season-high 17 kills and 19 digs.
Senior
Alyssa Cargill added 21 digs and five assists. Senior
Anneke Hanson recorded a season-high seven aces.
The Boxers finished with 15 more aces in the win.
Next: Pacific opens Northwest Conference play at home on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. against Linfield.
