Baba shines in circle, Boxers split final home series

Libby Hardee and Kimberly Ray delivered RBI singles in the bottom of the first inning. And that was all the run support Kiara Baba needed.
 
The Pacific junior held George Fox to three hits and one run to lead the Boxers to a 2-1 victory Sunday at Sherman/Larkins Stadium.
 
Pacific split the four-game series against George Fox to improve to 10-13 in the Northwest Conference. The 10 wins are the most since the Boxers finished 12-14 in 2021.
 
Game 1: George Fox 9, Pacific 0 (6 innings)
 
The Bruins took advantage of four walks to score six runs in the top of the fourth inning. 
 
Pacific recorded six hits, all singles, from six different players and left four runners on base in the loss.
 
Game 2: Pacific 2, George Fox 1
 
Pacific leadoff hitter Abby Surowiec was 3-for-4 with a double and a run in the win. Hardee finished 3-for-3 with a run and RBI.
 
Baba tossed her fifth complete game of the season to earn the win.
