FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Pacific senior Rissalyn Hara needed just 20 seconds to score her third goal of the season.
The Boxers' defense took it from there to complete a 1-0 shutout victory over visiting Willamette Sunday afternoon at Hanson Stadium.
Hara took advantage of an early Willamette mistake when a defender collided with the Bearcats' goalkeeper, leaving an open net. Hara finished with all five of the Boxers' shots on goal in the win.
Pacific goalkeeper Jaelynn Moo made two saves in the first half. Madeleine Gomez then took over in goal in the second half, recording one save to preserve the shutout.
With the victory, the Boxers improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the NWC for the first time since 2016. Pacific has won four straight games, allowing just one goal during the streak.
