MEDFORD, Ore. —
Bailey Martinez picked up a victory for Pacific but the Raiders won the overall war in a women's wrestling dual on Thursday afternoon at the Oregon National Guard Armory.
Martinez improved to 8-3 on the season with pin of Kal Holliday at 155 pounds. But the Raiders won the other two contested matches of the day and piled up points via forfeits for the final official count of 29-5.
Alejandra Rodriguez defeated
Wyatt Saling by fall and Chloe Spencer topped
CarrieAnn Randolph by technical fall, 21-10.
In SOU's first season of wrestling and second-ever dual meet, it was their first team victory.
For Martinez, it was her fifth consecutive win this season. She is now 30-14 in her career at Pacific (third season).
The Boxers will now take time off for the holidays before resuming action on January 1 at the Menlo Open.
