Four Pacific wrestlers claim individual championships at Boxer Women's Open

Audrey Diaz, Paige Beals, Sarahi Chavez and Taylen Babas-Masuno all won individual titles to lead the Pacific women's wrestling team Sunday at the Boxer Open.

After winning by technical fall in both the quarterfinals and semifinals, Diaz defeated Linfield's Cassidy Jones-Mowen by an 8-4 decision for the 138-pound championship.

Beals dominated the 160-180 bracket, winning three matches by tech fall, including a 10-0 victory over the University of Washington's Robin Lee in the finals.

Chavez, a freshman competing in her first Boxer Open, won all three of her matches by tech fall to win the 103-pound title. Babas-Masuno, another freshman, went 2-0 at 110 pounds.

Pacific sophomore Skyelynn Ripley finished runner-up at 145. Fera Thomas (117), Zoe Vickers (124) and Hailey Miller (138) all placed third for the Boxers.
