PORTLAND, Ore. — The Pacific women's wrestling team won two out of three matches in one dual and dropped two of three in another during action on Saturday afternoon (Dec. 5) at C.C. Perry Gymnasium.
CarrieAnn Randolph and
Bailey Martinez captured wins against No. 16 nationally ranked Southwestern Oregon CC. Randolph won by Fall in 2:12 against Fayth Woodward at 136 pounds. Martinez. wrestling up at 155, defeated Janelle Fuamoto 6-6 by scoring the first point in extra time. Fuamoto is ranked fifth in the country at 155 in the Women's Collegiate Wrestling Association.
Martinez also provided Pacific's lone victory against host Warner Pacific, defeating Lokelani Kam by technical fall, 12-2. The Oak Harbor, Wash. native is now 7-3 on the season.
Up next for the Boxers will by a December 17 dual meet in Medford against Southern Oregon and No. 3 nationally ranked Simon Fraser.
