FOREST GROVE —
Alissa Frazier won three individual events at the Forest Grove Aquatic Center on Saturday, but the Boxers dropped a pair of duals to the visiting Whitworth Pirates.
The Pacific women fell 115-87 to Whitworth, while the Boxer men dropped a 150-54 decision to the Pirates.
Pacific opened the morning with a second place finish in the women's 200-medley relay, while the men picked up third in the same event. For the women,
Stephanie Bultman (Bothell, Wash.),
Kayla Knock (Colorado Springs, Colo.),
Maya Okamura (Pukalani, Hawaii) and
Callie Hinson (Salem, Ore.) finished with a time of 1:59.61. The Boxer men's side comprised of
Aukai Kea (Mililani, Hawaii),
Derek Dunn (Springfield, Ore.),
Charles Morse (Forest Grove, Ore.) and
Patrick Daniels (Salem, Ore.) finished at 1:45.60.
Serita Solis (Poulsbo, Wash.) picked up the Boxers' first top three individual finish in the 200-freestyle with a time of 2:09.76,
Raymond Miller (Portland, Ore.) finished second in the men's race at 1:48.64.
Frazier (Oregon City, Ore.) earned her first victory of the day in the 50-freestyle with a 25.84 mark. For the men,
Kevin Quan (Portland, Ore.) posted a 22.47 and finished second.
The 400-IM saw a pair of top-three finishes for the Boxers, with
Rachel Webster (Normandy Park, Wash.) winning the race at 4:47.24 and
Lauren McWilliams (Gilbert, Ariz.) posting a season-best 5:04.44 for a third place finish. Webster earned her victory by more than 11 seconds over the second place finisher from Whitworth.
Michael Sakai (Honolulu, Hawaii) swam to a third place finish in the men's 400-IM with a time of 4:31.03.
Solis was the 100-butterfly winner at 1:03.56, while Miller was the men's winner at 53.85. Sakai finished third in the 100-butterfly with a time of 55.66.
Frazier's second win of the day came in the 100-freestyle at 55.63, while teammate
Colleen Murphy (Valdez, Alaska) finished third with a time of 59.35. Quan finished third in the men's 100-freestyle with a 49.98 time.
Alex Winslow (Bend, Ore.) and Bultman finished second and third, respectively, in the 100-backstroke. Winslow finished with a time of 1:06.31, while Bultman posted a 1:07.65. Kea earned third in the men's 100-backstroke with a time of 59.29.
Webster picked up a third in the women's 500-freestyle with a time of 5:23.91.
Frazier's final victory of the day came in the last individual event of the morning as she topped the 100-breaststroke at 1:10.74. The men's race finished with Quan posting a second place finish of 1:01.47.
The day wrapped up with the 200-freestyle relay, which saw Pacific finish second and third on the women's side and second on the men's side. Pacific's second place team on the women's side was made up of Solis, Murphy,
Monica Krubeck (Brush Prarie, Wash.) and Webster, and finished with a time of 1:45.27.
Meaghan Conway (Reno, Nev.), Winslow, McWilliams and Bultman swam to third with a 1:52.17 mark. The men's side finished at 1:35.49 and was made up of Dunn,
Woodey Greer (Sandy, Utah), Michale Hernandez-Michalski (Salinas, Calif.) and Sakai.
Pacific finished the 2016 half of its schedule on Saturday and will return to action on January 14 when the Boxers host the College of Idaho at 11 a.m.
