FOREST GROVE — The Pacific men's and women's swim teams picked up nine individual victories and one relay win on Saturday, but the College of Idaho earned a pair of dual victories over the Boxers inside the Forest Grove Aquatic Center.
The Coyote women topped the Boxers 150-100, while the College of Idaho men picked up a 123-116 victory over Pacific.
Pacific's first victory came in the fourth event of the morning, when
Raymond Miller (Portland, Ore.) out swam the field in the 200-freestyle and won by over five seconds with a time of 1:48.76.
Charles Morse (Forest Grove, Ore.) and
Michael Sakai (Honolulu, Hawaii) finished third and fifth, respectively.
Alissa Frazier (Oregon City, Ore.) earned the first women's victory for Pacific in the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:11.97. Frazier was followed in the race by
Kayla Knock (Colorado Springs, Colo.), who finished second at 1:13.44.
The men's 100-breaststroke also saw a Pacific winner, with
Kevin Quan (Portland, Ore.) winning by nearly four seconds. Quan's time of 1:00.69 was a season-best and is .44 seconds shy of the Boxers' record in the event, set in 2014 by Michael Hargitt (1:00.25).
Derek Dunn (Springfield, Ore.) and
Ben Reich (Sandpoint, Idaho) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 100-breaststroke.
Rachel Webster's (Normandy Park, Wash.) 2:19.43 in the 200-butterfly earned the senior a victory, while
Maggie Stevenson (Corvallis, Ore.) and
Cecilia Mazhary-Clark (Hillsboro, Ore.) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
The Boxers streak of victories continued in the men's 200-butterfly as Sakai won the race with a 2:05.57. Morse finished second in the event at 2:05.83.
Frazier won her second race of the morning in event 15 as she posted a time of 2:18.80 in the 200-backstroke.
Monica Krubeck (Brush Prairie, Wash.) finished fourth in the 200-backstroke.
Webster's second win came with a 5:40.42 in the 500-freestyle.
Lauren McWilliams (Gilbert, Ariz.) finished the 500-freestyle in third and
Alex Winslow (Bend, Ore.) touched the wall in fifth.
Miller swam to a season-best 4:56.91 in the 500-freestyle to win his second individual event of the day.
Michael Hernandez-Michalski (Salinas, Calif.) and Reich finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
The final relay of the day saw
Aukai Kea (Mililani, Hawaii),
Woodey Greer (Sandy, Utah), Miller and Quan swim to a narrow victory in the 200-freestyle relay, with a season-best time of 1:30.74.
Morse was the final winner of the day picking up an 18:40.89 winning time in the 1650-freestyle.
The Boxers continue the dual season on Friday with a 6 p.m. start time at Linfield.
