CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Pacific cross country teams concluded their season by racing at the NCAA West Regional on Saturday. The men finished 17th with 419 points and the women finished 16th with 423. Both teams were the eighth among Northwest Conference teams matching their respective finishes from the the NWC Championships two weeks ago.
Nick Slenning (Portland, Ore.) was the top finisher for the men for the second straight year. He 60th in the 124-runner field, a 39 place improvement over last season, and had a time of 27:32.5.
Riley Stewart (Forest Grove, Ore.) finished just three seconds later in 65th at 27:35.3. Seniors
Logan Naegeli (Trout Creek, Mont.) and
Kyle Eisenbeis (Bothell, Wash.) both had their best ever finishes of the four regional races each has run. Naegeli was 90th in 28:19.8 and Eisenbeis was 92nd in 28:21.1.
Garrett Stewart (Forest Grove, Ore.) was the final scorer at 118th in 29:38.2.
Serena Wallace (Centralia, Wash.) had the race of the day for the Boxers. She ran a personal best time of 22:38.2 and earned All-Region honors by finishing 18th in the 138-runner field.
Jess Knoll (Arlee, Mont.) had her best race of the season finishing at 56th in 24:09.2.
Elsa Douglass (Portland, Ore.) was 95th in 25:22.4,
Sophia O'Neal (Dixon, Calif.) was 126th in 27:07.9,
Cece Hall (Portland, Ore.) was 129th in 27:25.3 and
Micaela Frick (Mill Creek, Wash.) was 135th in 28:26.4.
