FOREST GROVE, Ore. — Freshman
Kendall Rickey's second place finish in the 500-yard freestyle highlighted the dual season opener for the Pacific women's swimming team, as the Boxers fell 150-36Â to Pacific Lutheran at the Forest Grove Aquatic Center.
The Boxers opened the meet with a third place finish in the 400-yard medley relay, with the Boxers' A-squad finishing with a time of 4:19.17. The Pacific relay was made up of: freshman
Joelle Otterstedt (Springfield, Ore.), senior
Kayla Knock (Colorado Springs, Colo.), senior
Elizabeth Cruz (Castro Valley, Calif.) and senior
Monica Krubeck (Brush Prairie, Wash.).
Krubeck delivered a third place finish in the 50-freestyle, finishing at 26.52, while junior
Maya Okamura's (Pukalani, Hawaii) 2:23.66 in the 200-yard individual medley was good for third in the event.
Rickey (Yakima, Wash.) was the lone Boxer to finish better than third at the opening event, posting a second place time of 5:52.72 in the 500-freestyle, while sophomore
Lauren McWilliams (Gilbert, Ariz.) finished third at 5:54.50.
Okamura finished third for the second-time on the evening in the 200-yard breaststroke, recording a time of 2:38.31.
The Boxer women finished the evening with by finishing third in the 400-yard freestyle relay, posting a time of 3:59.40. The 400-freestyle relay team was made up of: freshman

Colleen Murphy (Valdez, Alaska), sophomore
Callie Hinson (Salem, Ore.) and freshman

The Boxers return to the pool on Saturday morning with an 11 a.m. scheduled start against the visiting Puget Sound Loggers at the Forest Grove Aquatic Center.
